There is a street sign

on the next block that reads "No street racing" .  Now what the hell???  Is it legal on all other streets?

Lol. No....I'm sure it's not. But maybe....for some reason.....that particular seems to attract street racers, and the locals petitioned the city for a sign warning them not to use their street for a drag strip. In the old neighborhood where I raised my kids, I notice they have blocked one end of the street so as to prevent the racing that used to occur there.

Well when they tear up a sidewalk here they put up signs saying "Sidewalk closed"  Are people up here all that stupid?

Nope I haven't been there but you are close enough to me that it probably rubbed off.  This part of the countrry never fails to amaze me.

Don't think I could live in Oregon.  Have been there twice and the people remind me of the late 60's and early 70's.  Most seem to be retired hippies.  I do like the fact you can't pump your own gas though.
