here's a pic of him playin with my sheperd chow mix .. he's about 35 pounds or so .. maybe 7 to 9 months old .. he's the one on the right ..

and one more pic of him ..

He's beautiful, Frenchy.  I'm so sorry about the loss of your dog, I didn't know.  I'm glad that you got another one and I hope he brings you lots of love and cheer.

That's it.  I'm going to DEFY my husband and get another dog...maybe.  I don't know if I can go through all the pain again, but my dog right now was also sooooooooooo borken hearted after Louis died.

Your new dog looks like a melange, a dog bred in France in ancient times, but is now found under boxes on the streets in the US.  So, when people ask you what it is, say "melange."

He looks like he is a spitfire!  So cute.  What's his name?

rosco..

Don't know what his pedigree is but he's cute. Looks real smart too.

Seeing pretty pups always makes me want another one until I get hold of myself. Just not ready for another pet, it's been 8 years or so and we rather enjoy not being so tied down. Maybe someday but not yet.

yeah i know how you feel a.w. but sometimes i just like to sit out on my deck and watch the dogs play with each other.. i suppose if i had the urge to always be someplace else then it would probably cramp my style .. probably why i never had a dog till i was 37 .. too much runnin around to do back then .. but now i'm happy just to be home .. be it ever so humble ..

my neice has a dog very similar to yours, he's one of the nicest "boys" i know, he's just a swell pup... and they have no idea what he is either...  got from a shelter

My daughter and i are usually pretty good about figuring out dog breeds but i cant quite place ROSCO. My daughter would definitely know. She hss worked with various dog rescues, vet clinics, etc since she  was 11 years old.. He is the SAME color as our Beagle mix and he has a little bit of a collie look to him and maybe Shibu inu. Its hard to tell sometimes with puppies though. One of my dogs looked exactly like a german shepherd/boxer mix as a puppy. But full grown, she has NO trace of ever looking like a german shepherd. She is a boxer/great dane.

i got him from a lady who said he was tied to a fence and left there .. i think it was outside a shelter so she took him rather than let him go to the shelter but then as time went on she realized she couldn't keep him cause she already had 3 dogs and he was just one dog too many .. so she put an ad on craigs list and thats how i found him .. i'm usually pretty good at figurin out what this or that dog is made up of but he's a real mystery to me .. he's about 35 pounds now and i'd guess 7 to 9 months old .. i don't think he'll get to be more than 50 pounds full grown but who knows for sure .. i think he might have a little bit of pitt bull in him but its not a lot .. and someone else said shibu inu .. lookin at his tail i'd say some kinda husky but the coat is all wrong for husky .. he's quite agile .. my house is up on cement stilts so to speak about 3 feet off the ground and he jumps from the ground up on the deck like he's almost floatin .. or like a cat .. hey maybe thats it .. he's a cat dog ..

He does remind me a little of a Shibu inu i used to know. They have a curly tail. So does a Basenji i believe..im glad you mentioned pit bull because i wanted to mention that but didnt want to start a  controversy in case someone here is against them....lol. My beagle and my boyfriends dog look similar but he has a more obvous pit bull look. Daisy has a look that hints at pitbull but not much. Like Rosco. By the way, my daughter worked in a spay neuter clinic and she said in 4 years, no pit bull ever bit a vet but there sure were a lot of CHIHUAHUAS that have ATTACKED...LOLShe now works in a Doggie Day Care and was bit last week by a seemingly harmless looking WHEATEN

TERRIER so you cant judge a dog. I have a PAPILLION who attacks my Great Dane and play bites but the Big dog never hurts that little beast....EVER....LOL
