why mcdonald's ???

I can see it a problem in some places . Around here they have formed coffee clubs . The breakfast crowd meets every morning at McDonalds , Hardee's and eat breakfast and enjoy gallons of coffee . They buy the first cup , there after they drink there desire full free . I know Hardee's like it . It is business for them . Recently last year McDonalds rebuilt and that crowd went up the street to Hardee's till it got built , then back they went ...

I suppose each business can make it's own policy, I will admit that when I travel I use fast food places for the bathrooms because they're clean usually. We don't eat fast food but will buy the coffee to drink while on the road...we never sit at any tables. Each area might have a different situation, if the lingering people are keeping business away they may have to make a rule. Our local McDonald's seems to be a drive thru place with tables always empty, it's next to our local movie theatre so I see it, seems empty to me.

Maybe it's a New York problem . Maybe the Mayor's gonna ban it  ?

well i read the article and while i never frequent starbucks or mickey d's the idea is to get peole to come back again and again .. macdonalds was probably losin some business to starbucks not so much because of their coffee cause from what i hear macdonalds coffee is pretty good .. ( i don't drink it all that much myself tho ) starbucks had wifi and that was a cool thing .. you could bring your laptop and just drink your brew and check your emails or do some work online .. well macdonalds has wifi now in a lot of places too .. so i could see how some might take advantage of that .. the only way i think it could get ugly is if you have some guys commin in there and spikin their coffee with booze or sneakin in beer .. i'd politely tell them people to move on .. otherwise as long as they're patrons i'd have to let them stay .. unless of course there's some kinda dollar amount per hour you have to spend at each table and its posted .. which might be what they need to do if it becomes a problem ..
