LOL Thanks for the early morning laugh Frenchy!  I may suggest this to the Dana Farber Cancer Center as a reward for letting them smash your breasts!

yeah i thought it was kinda funny too t .. but .. man i sooo want that job ...

announcing the grand opening...Frenchy's Free Mammograms.....

It sounds like the abusive relationship that getting a mammogram is!  Getting ones breasts smashed is putting it mildly.

But, the margaritas should  help.

ahh .. but i would never make it abusive cresty .. most fun you ever had gettin a mammogram .. like i said , just like a regular friday nite date .. probably come back next week for a 2nd opinion ..

Man, I wish I lived down where YOU do - that sounds like a lot more fun than driving over to Mayo Clinic!  I am actually walking in the Making Strides event in Orange Park this Saturday morning (me?  WALK???!!)  A musician friend's daughter was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer a little over a year ago - already in her spinal fluid at that time, and has been fighting it aggressively, with a very positive attitude.  John said her niece, who is in high school, started a Cancer Society club at Orange Park HS, and a team to walk in the Making Strides event, and I decided it was the least I could do.  Shana,
John's step-daughter, ended up in the hospital about two weeks ago - blood clots, had to have a filter put in to catch them/stop them from going to her heart/lungs, and that's when they discovered the cancer had metastasized to her stomach.  She was transported to hospice last Friday or Saturday and died early Sunday morning.  Another musician friend's best female friend was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer last December.  She passed in March.  A third friend of mine here at the beach died about a year ago, another friend here has just completed treatment, and 3 of my cousins as well as my sister-in-law are all survivors (my sister-in-law is still on Tamoxifen after 5 years and her oncologist insists on another 2-3 years, which puts her at risk for a DIFFERENT kind of cancer, albeit supposedly a low risk ..., it's a worse kind of cancer from what I understand)  ... We MUST have more funding and more treatment for breast cancer as well as cancer in general.  Another musician friend who battled lung cancer successfully has just been told he it has metastasize and that he now has 10-11 lesions in his brain and was told 6-10 months life expectancy.  The woman who died in March died within weeks of it travelling to her brain.  She was a non-smoking, non-drinking, active vegetarian who went for regular mammograms.  This disease can hit anyone and hit HARD and FAST!

Mickchick, that's a lot of aggressive cancer going around where you are. Very scary and sad when young people lose the battle.

Thanks frenchy, now we know what mammograms should really be like smashed boobs and then a margarita! I'll ask for my drink next time I get one.

i'd get the drink first lifey ..i think it would be more fun that way ..

and mickey its good to see you here .. its been awhile and we missed you .. i'm sorry to hear about all the cancer goin around up there in jacksonville .. wish there was somethin i really could do to help .. besides just get you liquored up and check your knockers .. unfortunately thats the best i can do .. maybe if i did it twice ?? or 4 or 5 times ?? ehh .. probably not .. cancer is such a bitch and when it wants you sometimes there's nothin anyone can do .. problem had a post about a vacine to prevent it which would be a good thing .. but even better would be a shot that just killed it dead in 15 minutes no matter where it was in your body .. i'd donate 10 grand right now if they could guarantee somethin like that .. and i'd donate even more but thats all i'd be able to scratch up .. and i don't think i'm alone in feelin that way ..

I'm in middle of my chemo treatments right now and I've been doing a survey of what kind of cancer these folks have around here at this center...by far it's breast cancer, then lymphoma, then colon cancer.
The thing with breast cancer it's so treatable when found early...women seldom die from cervical cancer anymore because of pap smears..hopefully that will soon be the case with mammograms and breast cancer.

Hey it's great hear from you B.  How are you feeling?  I think of you each day and send you good thoughts.
