lets hope this works .. this is a song i wrote and recorded myself on a little 4 track recorder back in 1976 .. just me on acoustic guitar and bass and vocals .. i always said i'm gonna put a lead guitar on there too but i ran outta tracks and never got to it .. but it sounds ok as it is .. but maybe i'll still get around to puttin the lead on there .. along with some ohhs and ahhs in the backround .. you can never go wrong with some good ohhs and ahhs ..

i don't sound like me cresty ?? hmmm .. how did you think i would sound ?? just curious .. we never did speak on the phone or anything .. i have spoken to vicki a few times tho .. do i sound different when i sing vicki or is it what you woulda thought ?? maybe its just my face thats all wrong and my voice is ok ? ok i'm kiddin .. as far as the girl goes well i think warren zevon said it best .. he was bein interviewed and the guy asked him it seems to me you write some songs in the 1st person and some in the 3rd person and warren said yeah i do .. and then he asked him about the song reconsider me . was that a personal experience he had or just an observation he had and wrote a song about it and warren said it was his own experience .. so then the guy asked so how did it turn out ?? did she reconsider you .. and warren said matter of factly oh no .. the girls don't come back .. the girls never come back .. you can write them the most beautiful song .. pour out your heart for them , and they'll listen to it , maybe even play it for their family and friends and say listen to this beautiful song he wrote for me .. bu the girls don't come back .. the girls never come back .. i have to say that really upset me .. it made me think gee if he can't write a song that would change a girls mind what chance do i have ?? somehow i think thats a song that should be written .. dedicate it to him . cause he's right .. the girls don't come back .. the girls never come back .. or lets just say i've had a couple that did come back for a little while .. but it was never the same again so in essence they really never did come back ..

thanks everybody . i'm glad you liked it .. if you want to hear more you could always listen to it again .. ok i'm teasin .. i have a bunch more but a lot of em ain't recorded yet .. so i guess i have to get busy .. it really frustrates me tho tryin to record myself .. tryin to watch levels and perform at the same time really stresses me out .. its like tryin to dance and sit still at the same time .. eeeeeeeee... i might have a few more lyin around tho from the 70's .. lemme see what i can dig up ..
