I keep hearing about frigid temps also, stay warm everyone. Here we're having beautiful temps in the high 70's and low 80's the only problem is no rain we've seen 2 days of showers in Dec. and not a drop in Jan and none expected. We're headed for a draught. This is our rainy season.

I think Southern NJ got hit harder than us.  We got about 7-8 inches and some guys came here early early to ask if I wanted my driveway shoveled, so this snow event was very nice for me.  My husband, of course, plowed all night long, ha ha, so he crashed at his Mom's because work is 40 minutes from here. Poor guy. While we are toasty warm and cozy, he is out there busting his buttocks.

The bulk of the snow has missed this part of the universe except the slow but steady inch or so every day or two. So far 46 inches or so has fallen but compacted into a couple of feet on the ground. The cold never left and I turned the TV weather report off when I heard the weather guy babbling about 24 days in a row with morning temperatures below zero. How do they expect to attract tourists with talk like that? It's -4 now with wind chill of -25 with a howling wind and a prediction for -40 wind chills for morning. The house makes a strange sound now and then in the cold - maybe ghosts moving in.
