getting notifications of new topics

Is there a way to set up notifications so that you get an email when a new topic is added to one of your groups?  It seems that I get them randomly and I sort of forget to check each group regularly.  I thought I was getting notifications at one point but maybe that was from the place whose name shall not be spoken.

Looks like your settings would do that...I just looked at mine...theres a place to get emails for activity from your groups.

That's what I thought but I have that checked.  I just unchecked it and rechecked it and saved it, maybe that will do something.  Thanks.
