How Hard Or Easy is it to get a Divorce in your State ?

In Wisconsin and in Georgia, there was no fault divorce and it could be finalized six months after filing in Wisconsin and one month after filing in Georgia.  I am familiar because I was living in Wisconsin when my ex-husband an an affair and I left him.  I checked into both to see which was the quickest and easiest after we had been in counseling for several months and he was still unwilling to stop seeing the other woman. 

I'm not married and I've since to Florida, so I'm not familiar with the law here since I'm not likely to need it!

I'm from Wisconsin and twice divorced. Divorce is easier then getting married in this State.

I think it would be better if they made it harder to get married in any state, if things turn bad divorce should be easier.

Both my divorces were in Michigan, one took about 6 months the other 3 years. Neither were any fun. The reason for the 3 year divorce was no matter what I agreed to the idiot would not accept it. I finally gave him everything and moved away, it didn't make much difference he had already stollen my car and was living in the house with all the stuff. When I married him I owned my own home he had nothing. It was still worth it to get rid of him.

which brings up the age old subject of why is divorce so expensive ??  BECAUSE ITS WORTH IT .. 

me personally i'd like to see em make marriage licenses that you have to renew every 7 years .. and if you don't renew it then you ain't married anymore .. but thats too easy and would piss a lot of lawyers off so that'll never get passed .. but it could save a lotta weepin and wailin and knashin of teeth ..

That's a great idea . Might be better to renew every 5 years . Divorce is a money maker for Lawyers and the one who win's . The loser's are often left with nothing . Just not right . I can see both sides . When we split up it had been a year and i did a no no . I had sex with old lady . There i learned a lesson . One year later i got my divorce ...
