:-)  I can see you're all over it now!  It does drive me nuts how easy it is for those in the medical profession to determine what you are or are not feeling.  Like.....when you're in your 10th hour of labor pains, hollering your head off......calling not only your husband, but any man all kinds of horrible names......and the nurse yells at you and says to stop being a baby; it doesn't hurt that much. Yeah....right!!

All I know is I have broken my back in two places and have a ruptured disk. Worst thing you can do is sit and as I said, I have a desk job (accountant) and am driving 2 1/2 hours a day.  With this pedometer I do find I'm pretty active walking on average 4 miles a day. I only weigh 108 pounds so some doctors are a little leary of "working" on me.  When I find out what they say next week I'll let you know.  Thanks frenchy.  BTW these pedometers are a lot of fun.  Mine monitors sleep habits (it says I sleep like a dead person) and other things.  I recomend just for fun.  They aren't that exspensive.

Yikes, dwalt.  I hope it all turns out OK for you. Backs are tough.

Good luck Dwalt.  I have a friend whose back surgery went really well.  And my ex husband had back surgery the first year we were married.  It was his second surgery; the first one was not successful.  He says the results of the second one were much better.  I have "misplaced disks", whatever that means.  I will try anything before I let them cut on me.  But, if I do try all the other available options, and it doesn't help....I might just resort to surgery.  Heck, I've been cut on so many times I have lost count; what's one more?

My son was told he broke his back somewhere along the line, and didn't know it.  How is that possible?  He has a horrible back now, and he's only 41, but he refuses to let them operate.

I will cross my fingers and say a prayer for you.

I didn't know it either. I knew my back was killing me but there was no "one event" that I can recollect.
