an update

 some of you have been following the ongoing situation with glen campbell. here's the latest update from his wife.

That is good to hear . At least he's getting help he needs . I imagine he has good day and bad days like we all do ...

its a shame to see it .. the guy had a lot of talent .. he was one of the first and biggest influences on me and my guitar playin .. sure there are others but glen was one of the first , along with the beatles and the stones , the buffalo springfield , the band , dave mason , eric clapton , the early fleetwood mac , steve stills and neil young , the james gang , santana , leslie west and mountain , the allman bro's , i'm sure i'm leavein a few out cause there are many from the late 60's . but glen was as good as any of them .. my but that country boy could play .. i suppose we and he should be grateful for the full life that he got to live ,, i think frank sinatra said it best .. you only get to live once , but if you live as good as me ? then once is enough .. glen got to live didn't he ?? and i'm sure they're doin everything they can to make him as comfortable as they can .. for as bad as he is he's got it as good as it gets ,, what about the regular everyday jamokes who get alzheimers ??

You're right, frenchy. It's sad that he's sick but it sounds like he's getting the best help available. As for his wife, it sounds to me like she has his best interest in mind; I wonder if his daughter has pure motives or was just concerned about the money being spent on his treatment facility because I'm sure it's very expensive. For all us regular jamokes, we should be so lucky as to have access to that kind of care. Or at least that's my world. Kudos to his friends who haven't forgotten him even though he probably doesn't remember them much. Every time I hear one of his songs on the radio, I tear up. He was one of my favorites back in the day.
