I knew those cats lived in the southeast. Our hockey team in Nashville is called the Predators and the mascot is a saber tooth cat. This is because back in the 70's while excavating for a large downtown bank they found a cave with the bones of several saber tooth cats. Those fossils are on display in the lobby of the bank.
