TBD

TBD on Ning

Although I've put some links to adoption websites on the group main page, I decided I wanted to post some horses that caught my eye, and their information, from many sites. Seeing some of these beauties may lead a horseless rider to a horse that needs a loving, forever home. Please add any horses you know of and their important statistics and contact information.

Glad to see you back, Athena!!! Hope your computer problems are fixed permanently!

There are some adoption services in Colorado Springs and environs, as you probably know. Most of these horses tend to be quarter horses, mustangs, Arabians, and such. Here are links to a few of those services:

D.O.B. 2006
Chestnut Gelding, 16.2hh

"Trooper" has a history with ReRun. We saved him from an auction where he was banged up pretty badly. He was adopted once for almost a year then returned due to financial circumstances, and now he is looking for that loving home he deserves.

He is a strikingly beautiful horse with huge strides! He was evaluated by our vet before his adoption, then again after his return. Before he was adopted, it was proven that he had a small bone chip in the left hind fetlock that does not interfere with the joint. After his return, he displayed right hind soreness that was labeled by our vet as mild arthritic changes to the fetlock joint. He requires shoes and is now able to be ridden. He is needs an experienced rider as he has a  playful attitude and short attention span. He is very fun to ride, and you'll need a big ring as he can travel down the long side in only a few strides!

"Trooper" has completed the Allstar program, and we have a great deal of information available to you. He has good stall manners and gets along with other horses. He is an easy keeper and a good eater. Trooper is good for the farrier, vet and dentist.

The Buck Stops Here "Trooper" in now located at one of our New Jersey Foster Farms

Adoption fee $350

Fee does not reflect true potential!

FAIR WEATHER STAN

 Stan as of March 2013

 Stan in January 2013

DOB 2004

16hh Gelding

Stan was rescued and entered the ReRun program in January.  He has an impressive pedigree with earnings over $200,00.00, but fate was not so kind to him after his racing career ended.  Since he has moved to VA with his new foster Mom, he has gained over 200lbs, and is returning to good health.  He is a special guy full of personality and a joy to work with!  He has recently begun working again and is taking well to training, although would prefer to remain on vacation.  Please help us in caring for Stan and sponsor him.  He will be staying with ReRun for some time until just the right forever home comes along, and he needs your help to continue the excellent care he is recieving.

Stan is also available for adoption!  Please contact Lisa to find out more information if you are interested in giving this amazing horse a forever home!

Name: Pentagirl
Barn Name: Dixie
Age: 2009
Gender: Mare
Height: 15.3 hh
Color: Bay
Adoption Fee: $500
Location: Hummelstown, PA

Pentagirl aka. ”Dixie”, is one beautiful mare that will catch your eye as soon as you walk into the barn.  Her well defined facial features makes Dixie look like a gem who you just want to take home.  Dixie’s soft coat and little white socks completes this mare’s excellent physique.  One look and she will take you breath away and steal your heart! Dixie is a very sweet mare. She stands still while you groom and tack her up in her stall, waiting patiently until you are finished. She absolutely LOVES bath time, especially when there is warm water involved.  Dixie will fall asleep from the warmth and gentle message.  She is currently turned out with two of our other mares and seems to get along very well with them.

Dixie is a super quiet mare who has adapted quickly to her new surroundings. Unlike most racehorses, she is a little lazy and requires leg to move forward. Once you get her going, Dixie has an upbeat trot and a nice flowing canter.  Very little fazes her, whether she is inside or out, with horses and people fussing all around her.  In the short time Dixie has been with us she has picked up on everything her rider has asked of her, from bending to moving off the leg.  She is a very brave girl and will step over poles, puddles, or basically anything you put in front of her without hesitation.  We believe that Dixie will be suitable for lower level jumping and certainly any flat disciplines.  She is stilling learning so she would need an intermediate to experienced rider on her back.
