If you're out with someone you just met what are some of your favorite conversation starters?

Helen...if we were meeting for the first time, that would probably be the last topic I'd initiate since I don't have any myself. Now your animals or pets would be a good topic since I can particiapte in that chat.

How about whether or not it is a good thing that we have fluoride in our home water.

Many years ago I took a class on conversation starters. You were to see how long you could talk and not bring up your job or your kids. Pretty stuff assignment.
