STATUS UPDATE

So here we are looking around, taking a peek... hanging out.

On some thread a bit ago, some one said how annoying the FB was with all the trivial updating goings on.

Personally, I don't think my daily updating is all that interesting but some times I really feel the need to share.  My kitties don't give a whit and the bird...well, he lives in his own world.  His updates would mostly involve "lived another day"..."got some of that shredded stuff again (cheese)"  etc.

Mostly, I have you fine folks to droll on about my meager existence and occasional moments of wonderful.

 

So, here you go...Keep it brief...mundane with a bit of intrigue.

Well, today I went into town, and had coffee with the "mean spirited conservatives", also known locally as the "Island of Misfit Boys".  This meetingplace is at The Brew-ha.

Here's a picture of them, a file photo, you might say.  I'm not in the pic, as I only have visitor credentials.  In fairness to the guy in the red jacket and blue cap on the left, it should be noted that he's a liberal who travels in wider circles.  Most of these guys were there today, sitting in exactly the same seats as they occupy in this photo.  I had the liberal's seat.

 

After I left these boys, I noticed that the greasy spoon was open, so I stopped in, and YIPPEE, it has started serving the breakfasts again!  The marriage between it and the new yuppie joint didn't work out, I guess.  Its comforting to know that my kind of food is available again.  Uh, I only had scrambled eggs, bacon and toast, which for me is pretty doggone healthy.

Next, it was on the the grocery store for a few groceries, and then I stopped at my buddy's farm market for some conversation, and I bought a couple of items too.

Then, I went home , changed clothes, and went over to the little old widow lady's house to finish her yardwork.  Today I had to pull weeds....ugh, that's not a job for an older worker.  I have to go back Wednesday to finish that gig....it got too hot out there.

The balance of the afternoon was spent mostly loafing...I felt that I deserved as much.

I worked and stopped at a friends house to see her new curtains, then back to work. A couple of dog walks in between and tuna for lunch.
