A little something for the local mechanic that just couldn't take the time to fix my car. It was running when I took it there and I'm back from a classic moment.
Me: (taking one of his tools left in the car) "It barely has enough power to put the windows down."
Owner/mechanic: (at 11:45 AM) "If you come back during business hours I'll throw a jump box on it."
Me: (a pause waiting for him to realize what he just said.) Exit stage left.
Another shop is planning on going onto his lot to claim my vehicle.
So we fully understand what you are dealing with, a story from another small town just five days ago:
Arguing over wrench, Waco man uses it as weapon, police say
By Chelsea Quackenbush Tribune-Herald staff writer
Thursday July 8, 2010
An Allen Samuels Chevrolet employee was charged with aggravated assault for allegedly hitting a co-worker in the face with a wrench Wednesday morning.
Jason Monroe Johnson, 30, of Waco, hit Chesley Dennard, 53, with a barrel wrench after the two had an argument about who could use it and when, Waco police spokesman Steve Anderson said.
Dennard suffered a serious face injury and was transported to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center, Anderson said.
Johnson left the dealership after the assault but was picked up in the 300 block of North Valley Mills Drive shortly afterward and arrested, Anderson said.
Johnson is in McLennan County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond, a jail spokeswoman said.
My comment on this thread - you already know, don't you? - "What a tool."
Again? They must like toying with you. We had a problem with our satellite and they were scheduled to show after noon. They called and came before that. Problem solved.
Why is my picture smaller and not as clear? Why can't I skip over channels? Why do I have to use two remote controls? Why is the box so ugly? Why do I whine more when I'm tired?
This is why I need a husband, isn't it? To figure out the electronic stuff...
Save these questions for when the cable guy finally shows up. Ha.
Part 2 of my last rant.
I came home from work, went to the mechanic's lot and took the battery out of my vehicle, charged it for a couple of hours. Put it in and amazingly the car wouldn't start. It had enough battery power the dang thing just wouldn't start. Let's see, I drove it there with a little bit of shudder when taking off at a stop sign and now it won't even start. Hmm...
