A couple my wife and I are friendly with cover a portion of their most watched TV screen with black tape as they have found something so annoying on the screen, they figure this is about the only think that can help. I might do the same thing on a television I generally use.
I'm talking about the logos, usually in the right hand corner which are broadcast by the those channels and as far as I know...no way to eliminate. It's bad enough having the name of the channel I'm watching on my screen. I know what channel I'm watching. I chose to watch it. . Aside from various shaped icons, what really pisses me off is that on the screen I'm watching I see in boldly annoying lettering about a show on that evening or tomorrow or in a month and it NEVER goes off. Why must it remain on during the program I am watching now? I can understand that it might pop on for a few moments so I am aware when something else is coming on BUT I'm watching what I want to watch now..not in a month. Do I really need to see that on the screen constantly? It only goes off when the commercials come on.
So yes...I might just cover part of what I'm watching so I'm not staring at some logo and advertisement ..and that's basically what it is to me..an ad to watch something else at another time. Don't these TV execs or whatever morons are responsible for this lunacy get it? I just want to enjoy watching what's on TV when I'm watching it. Is that asking too much?
