TBD

TBD on Ning

My blog is removed from my page: invasion of privacy.

I want to know what people have to say. I write about computers. My article 'Kaspersky Anti Virus Software' was posted on MY PAGE and it is removed by MysticalMaria and Bull from MY PAGE. It is unheard of. It is an invasion of privacy. It means that Bull and MysticalMaria have the right to delete whatever they please including YOUR content. I also need to know if Robin Wolaner is aware of the situation.

Thank you, Pru. It just confirms that I was discriminated against.

Just for the record: my intention was not to advertise. My intention was to let people know about the best security software that I learned about. I know the details, I know that it provides best protection. Norton, McCaffe - should all be thrown out the window in comparison with this Kaspersky security software.
This is so funny, Quinn. If you had that software I was writing about, you would never had any security problems. It's all about the choices we make.

And btw, community guidelines mention briefly about 'overly commercial' postings with no explanation, what is considered 'overly commercial' and what is not considered 'overly commercial'. Guidelines do not indicate that even 'overly commercial' should be deleted. That's what you call 'good job'?
Alla, on MY PAGE, there's a section that you can use to write, add pictures , or whatever. You could leave your messages for the people to read when they go to your MY PAGE and the rest of TBD wouldn't have to be concerned with whether your info is too commercial.

I believe that MM and the rest of our gracious overseers would have no problem with that. And since your problem seems to be that the public blog section of TBD seems to be linked back to your MY PAGE, and of course, when MM deleated your blog from the public blog page, it naturally left your MY PAGE as well, I believe that using the text section and not the blog section on your MY PAGE would solve your problem.

Other than that, I would have to suggest that you leave all commercial msgs out of your public blogs. Hope this helps to resolve your problem. :)
Kitty
Thank You so much, that is exactly the kind of answer I would hope to find.
Kittycat, that does not resolve the problem. I wrote content, I own the copyright to it. It was deleted, instead of resolving the matter in a civilized way. That makes any member of TBD vulnerable. The purpose of a moderator to resolve a problem, not to discriminate people.
How were you descriminated against? It seems that you knew about the commercialism aspect being banned on the public part of TBD. So why were you surprised when something was done about your public blog.

Again, I say, use the text part of your MY PAGE and anyone can go to your page & read whatever you would like to say, be it commercial or not. I don't see the descrimination. The moderators can't catch all of the commercialism. They have to be made aware of it by all of TBDers when they see it and then they can do their volunteer jobs. It would appear to me that MM either was apprised of your commercial blog by someone or she happened upon it while browsing thru the public blog section.

It sounded as though you were made aware of what the action was going to be. I guess I just kind of think that rules are rules and they should be followed to the best of our abilities.

I hope I was able to explain myself a little better this time, Alla.

That's the point, I was told: 'I will delete'. Nobody mentioned anything about other methods of solving the problem.
Will you change your point of view, Kittycat, and understand my frustration? I don't think so. You don't want to understand me.
Yes, they told you that they were going to delete your commercial. Alla, what other methods of solving your problem were there?

I might be able to change my point of view, if you could explain it better to me so that I can understand your frustration better. I really do want to understand you, Alla.
Kittycat, MM could ask me a question if I could remove the links. I would have no problems doing it. I brought the article here to let people know about this great security software I found recently. Nothing of that nature happened. My article was deleted as if I do not matter.
It was explained in a pm that your blog was fine without the links.
Aaaaaah, now I understand. Lack of communication. You know what, Alla. Maybe because of all of this, there could be a new beginning. I love it when the light bulbs go off. Don't you???

Maybe the next time that a similar problem occurs, the moderators could give the person the option of removing the links or the offending material themselves 1st, and if the person refuses to do that, then the moderators could tell them that the moderators will delete the links or offending material themselves by a certain time.

I do believe we're coming up with a plan here, Alla. What do you think??
Ooooops!! Alla, what about what Bull just said? Perhaps you didn't see the PM in time?
