Jedi Mind Meld....

Mixed metaphors can trip up anyone but then again, it is just a mistake to some, and amusing to others, and of course, many just don't get it at all.

And yes, it was almost fifty years ago we first saw it, Star Trek that is, and Spock's application of fingers and a most painful expression as he, Spock, probe the thoughts of others, including a carpet. And it was almost forty years ago we first encountered the Force as Obi Won Kenobi give Luke lessons in letting the force be with you.

Now it is the force of sequestration and no, no one wanted it to be with you, but it has and the mind meld has prove it, by the president who apparently didn't have the force to stop it.

So, in a galaxy far, far away, people are not experiencing sequestration, never heard of it, and are enjoying life to the fullest on Alderaan not knowing that the Death Star is in need of commissioning and a demonstration of its powers.

And yes, a lacking in a belief that is disturbing. A belief that nothing can be done is just as disturbing, mixing up things a bit, in this time and place. And a mind meld with a congress is a sure way to have a headache, if not worse.
