A huge cache of secret US military files today provides a devastating portrait of the failing war in Afghanistan, revealing how coalition forces have killed hundreds of civilians in unreported incidents, Taliban attacks have soared and Nato commanders fear neighbouring Pakistan and Iran are fuelling the insurgency.

The disclosures come from more than 90,000 records of incidents and intelligence reports about the conflict obtained by the whistleblowers' website Wikileaks in one of the biggest leaks in US military history. The files, which were made available to the Guardian, the New York Times and the German weekly Der Spiegel, give a blow-by-blow account of the fighting over the last six years, which has so far cost the lives of more than 320 British and more than 1,000 US troops....

What do you think? Did this guy do us a public service by telling the truth? God knows there is no news on the subject. Isn't it time Americans knew what the truth actually was?

Or should this man be couture marshaled and possibly executed as a traitor to this country? Love you all, mother (lost in America)sanity

He has blood on his hands.
That's war. Perhaps in the long run he will have less blood on his hands than he'd a had otherwise. Too bad that kid soldier spies have to lay down their lives and do the jobs real media would do if we had it. These wars have cost far too much money and lives to merit keeping so many secrets. Humble opinion.
Supposedly, we, the people run this country through a democratic government. (never mind that large corporations actually OWN our government)
Any way, we can't give or with hold our support unless we know the truth....the real truth, not what some beaurocrat thinks we should know.
Course it's fairly obvious to me that the current "wars" are failing, else they would have been over long ago.
