Kind of like the question "when does your ex become your former?" Six one way half a dozen the other.
I think that I changed mine after 6 or 7 years.
I like Wendy's answer.
At our age everyone has baggage.
I travel light.

That said, they don't give you many choices here... one is obliged to elaborate in my case, so I remain single' rather than 'widowed'. I suppose it seems more cheerful...merry, even...
I have a label maker but no tape...no wonder I never understand.
I do not even have the label maker--explains my inabilities to not label people--huh?
Divorced is sure not single.
They haunt you till the day they die.
Your kids need new shoes!
When they are 30?
Where is the cutoff date?
Unless I am married....I'm single....the in between is nobody's business unless I choose to share.
Anyone with half a brain could put two and two together and figure at my age with three kids I probably was married at some point. Just call me traditional....hehehe!
As for my 'marital' future, I am so tired of going to SS that I will do anything not to go there again until it's time for me collect the gazillion dollars I've put in to it. !!

Me too!
*guess I'm not 'single' after all...*
Stunning observation, Pru. Madonna comes to mind.
Married once, then divorced. For me, Brine's answer
about the amount of healing determining the status
tag is relevant: I've lived it that way.
And Sheldon, "my kid's father" is part of my vocabulary.
