TBD on Ning

Has anyone ever been a victium of this? I am looking at TV show now that is talking about a girl that had a nose job after someone make fun of hers on line? People can be cruel and do not think of how much damage it does to the other person.

We have a real live bully in our shop - a sawed-off, over-compensating, belligerent small-town redneck who comes to work at 2:00 o'clock in the morning and messes with people's personal belongings, frequently outright destroying stuff. He has our boss so scared shitless that the boss absolutely refuses to do anything about the situation.

We're a bit flummoxed on what to do. An all-around ass-beating would be the normal avenue of action, but I ain't gonna be the one to take a pop at a crabby old bastard who is, after all, in his early sixties and on whom I have a good hundred pounds. Getting physical would win the battle but lose the war.

Anybody got any ideas?
Laxative in his coffee. Have you meet his wife yet? Is she a naggy nag?, and he just comes to work to get away from her...and then nags? Misplaced aggression is a REAL part of some peoples lives. Just saying.
His wife was a Nicaraguan mail-order bride who disappeared a few months after she delivered his only known child. That's caused quite a bit of speculation, as I'm sure you can imagine.

As far as the old laxative stunt is concerned, this guy is also a genuine paranoid - He actually takes his coffee cup with him when he goes to the can, and if he forgets to take it with him, when he gets back and realizes it he'll throw the entire cup away and bring in a new one the next day, even refusing to drink from any of the styrofoam cups at the coffee bar. He's a germaphobe, as well. Washes his hands obsessively, wears latex gloves all day long, won't come into work as long as anybody else in the shop is sick....

He's pretty fucked up, to put it mildly. And he takes it out on the rest of us...
With all that heavy equipment in you photos. Who in their right mind would bully you.
I admit your tractor is bigger than mine.
I also have found this to be true Cheri, Being online has opened my world and eyes to many things. I am sorry that this happened to you.
I have found some really mean, rude people here, and they are mostly women. scares the hell out of me. That why I stay with Chucks site,
I recently lost an old bull. He had lived a long and productive life. In his later years the neighbors bulls would always want to fight or just kick sand in the air. My old bull just ignored them and walked away. But he never forgot to take care of his ladies. He never got in a hurry but lived a long life. He never keep up with the Jones, just stayed on the farm with his cows.

I grew up and became an Aggie. Was bullied and was told alot of Aggie jokes. I never let it bother me. I just think about my favorite Aggie joke: What do you call an Aggie five years out of school?

Boss, it only took me 2 years 7 months.
Just ignore the on line bullies.
The net is a very rough place to hang out.
School bullies, teach your kids how to defend themselves, physically.
This is the only way to stop this.
Yes Darroll, For online adults this may be effective in some cases, in others it is not. When actually looking into such inhumane and cruel behaviors this has become a very serious problem in our schools, with teens and online. I do not think that it can be stopped altogether, but that is not to say that it should ever be accepted by decent, kind people.
Many young people are ridiculed when they try to ignore, so it actually makes the situation worse in the long run. So perhaps you are correct about teaching them self defense. Although I would never have agreed to this before I myself was more than bullied on line I was attacked viciously. So It has been a learning experience for me. I cannot imagine the children that are expected to endure such actions, something should be done by adults and yet there are adults doing it, so...What would the answer be?
Yes Tina ~ I remember well what happened to you on the old TBD. Many of us tried to defend you and your sister as you both were viciously attacked and we were attacked for doing so. There is absolutely no excuse whatsoever for the type of behavior exhibited there and I still avoid some of those people like the plague. I hope we never see anything like it on this new site. I don't think we can even begin to think about children bullying each other until we look at the 'adults'. This is learned behavior. When I was teaching high school I had a good talk with my worst bully. He was modeling the behavior of his father towards him and when he realized this, he was able to control his own behavior and begin to make friends. I believe it all comes down to respect. For one's self and for others, for all of creation. I must tell you how much I admire you for the way you handled the situation then and how glad I am that you are back here on the new site. You rock, my Friend. Totally. :)
oh yes, I remember the attack, it was bloody and mean. I had never seen anything that dirty.
