TBD on Ning

Once I loved to cook, but having a family changed all of that...Yet now that everyone is growing up, that may have to change back. In my 'garden' this year I grew some sweet pumpkins to make pie, but I believe that they have all met their bitter end. Not a good year. However, I was in the grocery store and found this pecan pie, Edward's Pecan Pie which was blindingly fantastic. To all you pecan pie affectionados, whats your recipe, or your special ingredient, so I can put together a recipe? Calories are not a factor. G'day to Y'all. Jackie

Ooh, you have to try pecan pie. The bomb!
I am afraid I may be developing a addiction to pecan pie. 'Edwards' makes oe you can get i food stores locally, but you gotta ask, what do they know in NJ about pecan pie?
You can try this one. It's not as sweet as most.
Pecan Pie

3 eggs
1/2 stick butter
1 cup blue label Karo syrup
1/2 cup sugar
1 Tbsp vinegar (white or cider)
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
1 Tbsp half & half
1 cup pecans
single pie crust

Whisk 3 eggs in a large bowl. Melt butter & beat into eggs. Whisk in sugar. Add Karo and all other ingredients, pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake 10 min at 400F, turn down to 350F for 40 minutes. Let cool at least one hour before cutting.
She's good. But she's not in Jersey.
Thank you.
You mean there's better out there???!!!
