You should anyway, remind him of what we really want. The majority of us, I mean.
I told Durbin that we can't have a mandatory coverage if we can't have a public option. It would be like mandatory car insurance: go right through the roof. I also told him we need to be able to purchase across state lines, better selection. AND that making it mandatory should be gradual given the current economic climate.
Maybe I'm being an idiot, but why is it insurance companies can make a profit from insurance but if the government has a public option it will cost? I understand that insurance companies make some of it by having astronomical premiums and cut out people with pre-existing conditions, but that doesn't explain all of it. CIGNA's balance sheet showed second quarter profit of $435 million.

My Senators are Alexander and Corker. They are right wing nut cases so I will email them anyway and tell them that. They probably have me flagged as a terrorist.
And it's time to write those Demoncraps who voted against it...and let them know they'd best be looking over their shoulders because I will do all in my power to see that they are challenged by a REAL Democrat in their primary and put them back on the bench...the left OUT end of the bench.
