I'm Sherlock.

Always knew I was a high-functioning sociopath. :>)

I think you are a high functioning sociopath to Angharad.

hahahaha

Elementary, my dear (fellow) Sherlock...

I'm also Sherlock.   Never seen the show, my 13 yr. old is a fan.

Hi, Carrie!

Like Jeremy Brett before him, Benedict Cumberbatch gives Sherlock that cool, androgynous, abstracted edge, but he's less effete, more fun, frenetic, modern, and less self-contained. He's also a pretty sympathetic character--more like a very high-functioning autistic person than a sociopath.

You should watch an episode online. It's fun.

Guess what? We're related! I'm Mycroft Holmes.

Hello, Brudda!

I guess now I have to treat you with a kind of antagonistic affection...

NOT!!!!

I just thought--I'm interested in the qualities they outline for each character, so if you still have that little summary available, post it for me, okay?

Here's what they say about Sherlock types:

You may seem eccentric to others, but you are devoted to your small and close-knit circle of friends, and constantly working to assure the safety of others. You don’t do it for praise, or even thanks, or to make more friends; you do it because it is the rare occupation that can challenge your intellect, and to satisfy your strong sense of justice. You have nothing against oddballs—so long as they don’t decide they have the right to hurt others. You use your unique charm when you have to, to navigate society and invite confidences, but with your friends you are yourself, in all your manic energy and chaos and zest for life.

I didn;t take the test again to see what it said about Mycroft, but Googled him and this is what I found...

  • "Sorry, but the holiday’s over, brother dear." – Mycroft Holmes

Mycroft has two critically important jobs: running the British government and managing his little brother. He’s always been a tough critic of Sherlock’s lack of discipline and tendency to get too close to other people, and Mycroft would be the first to make clear that Sherlock’s intelligence is nowhere near his own. But blood does count for something, and Sherlock will find that all those years that Mycroft was criticizing and correcting him, the elder Holmes was actually teaching his little brother a skill that would save him when it counted most.

Gotta be honest, I've never seen this show, but am a big fan of Elementary.

Cool--I'll have to check it out.

My result was Sherlock Holmes... see me at 221B Baker Street for a curious time.
