Does your weather site give you good predictions? We were/are in the midst of a very unusual once in a century heat wave according to our weather guys, except that it wasn't right. Yes it was much hotter than normal but heck they were off by 10 degrees in the predictions. Today it was supposed to be 106 however it only got to a little over 95. We usually have two or three days in July when it gets into the 90's. I'm beginning to think the weather people want drama more than accuracy. I did find a weather site that was closer to the mark but still off by 6 degrees. I live in a city 2 miles square, how different can the temps be?

The site I found is Intellicast. Where do you go for good predictions?

His predictions are too scary for me.

The weather people here in Tennessee go wild every time there is a storm. We do get some tornadoes but actually very few.i think they have made people not pay attention when they really need to.

Thanks Kathy, that site gave me actual temps that matched my thermometer.

i use the weather channel and have the app on my phone, plus a few local TV station apps--- figure one of them ought to be right.  i only care about the temperature in the winter and only when it's right around the freezing mark, so i know whether it's gonna rain, sleet or snow....  if it's below 20, it's cold, if it's over 80, it's hot...

actually, the temps can range quite a bit in a small area, hills, valleys all make a difference. the amount of pavement makes a difference-it holds the heat longer as do buildings... i live 5 miles from work--it was snowing like a banshee there, my house had rain... there's all these weird little snow/rain lines around here, the same basic cloud can send down different precipation within just a few minutes or miles...
