How dry is it?

It rained yesterday. Probably won't rain again for six months.

Last week I check my rain gauge and had 1/4 inch of sand.

Chris..You took the words right out of my mouth...I hate to think of anything suffering. When it doesn't rain I feel my own body straining for it even-though I have water at home, it is a sence inside my being...a natural sense to hurt for the rain. We ran out of water last night...we cant drink the well water & I feel funny about boiling it although I would if worse came to worse.....At 12:30 Am I had the BF put his shoes & clothes on & grab a jug. We walked down behind Cumberland Farms store & filled up the jug w/ water.......My paranoia..being without water for even one day.

I feel sorry for him...are people leaving out pans of water for the animals?

I have been watering around the house at farm and getting all sorts of wildlife.

Bless your heart, Aggie, for keeping the wildlife watered.  It's puts so much stress on them when water is hard to find.

Last summer my Dad have 2 pans of water out for the bees. There had to be a hive somewhere close because those pans were busy and he had to refill them every day. And being the animal lover he even put a rock in the middle of the pan to give them an extra place to land and drink.
