A wise man once wrote that "By virtue of my gray hair and beard, I am given the status of teacher or leader even though, in truth, I may well, unknowingly, lead them over the edge of the cliffs to their deaths."
Have you found this to be true in your life? Do people automatically assume you are the teacher, not the student? That your thoughts may be more valuable than their own? That you are the ceo, not the book keeper?

Oh yeah....there are some people who, despite my rumpled, ponytailed appearance, think that I have answers to stuff, just because I also happen to be old.
I have a hard time convincing people that I have far fewer answers now than I did when I was, oh, nineteen or so.
People.....I'm a long time single guy, kidless and thus grandkid less, who believes that SpongeBob is real.
As Bob Dyland so aptly stated, "if my thought dreams....could be seen....they'd probably put my head...in a guillotine"....
People walk up to me, tilt their heads this way, then that way, open their mouths as if to speak, then roll their eyes and walk away.
I used to think my amazing good looks just overwhelmed them.
Not so sure about that any more..
Your "elf". Wow casejo, I've always wanted an elf. where did you find him?
