My new granddaughter born Wednesday, the same day I finally got the results of the genetic test confirming a double dose of the most common defective  hemochromatosis gene.

I know, right? I was talking to a Trust-fund Trump supporter the other day who was trying to tell me how "smart" & what a good businessman he is. When I brought up all his bankruptcies (twice) she acted like I hadn't even spoken the word "bankruptcies", just kept on about how smart he was. People believe what they want to belief; this fetish for a "strong man" to shake things up blows my mind. (Ya notice how nobody--except me, I guess--ever talks about how great it'd be for a "strong womun" to shake things up? Uh hmm.)

I know.  It's sad and very scary.  I just can't figure out why he keeps getting a free pass and especially how people who call themselves Christians can support him. This unfortunately includes people in my family and at work and I am dumbfounded by it.
