Even when I was on Facebook, I couldn't get into it because you read for hours or deleted before you ever (if ever) came to something you wanted to reply to or show interest in.  And the way it is now!  Like rush hour in LA - sloooooowwwww.  I come here for the forum page (parts of which are challenging and others fun) and the 3 or 4 groups of interest.  I didn't realize TeeBubbaDee thought he was "posting" to himself.  I thought he was looking up all those "signs" and funny stuff for himself and sharing them because he thought they were funny.  And they were.  I would always rather have heard what he had to say and listened or responded just 'cause he seems like a nice, smart guy.  Seriously, I thought the "pictures" thing was him having fun.

This is the only "social" site that I ever participate in (now anyway, I used to be on EONS). I won't do Facebook (there is a reason for that, but that is not for here and now.) I check this site out daily, but I don't contribute as much as I should, perhaps because I have no good source of material other than what I see here and I imagine there is a limit to how much other people want to hear about my personal triumphs and woes. Sometimes I would like to participate in some sort of topical debate like Kooner always used to start, but I am better at responding than initiating.

On that note, I will say that I will soon will be holding my new granddaughter in California. .....DAMNED AIRPORTS AGAIN!.....

Nope, California, I never even heard of Eons until the site closed and people migrated here.

And as far as EpicYears grammyk, I doubt that I will even check it out. I have a FB account, and seem to be spending more time there as this place dies out.

And I'll check in here, and occasionally post until the site disappears, but just not as much. Back in the day, I posted here on multiple threads, 8 or 10 or even 12 times a day. (yes, it was that busy back then) And for years, I posted on multiple threads a minimum of once a day. Now I'm down to 4 to 6 threads, and posting 4/5/6 times a week. But I find myself, posting to myself, so much that it doesn't seem worth the effort to be here. It makes me sad, but it seems that there is nothing I can do.  

PS. Don't worry about this site just closing down. Mindy has told me that if and when she pulls the plug, everybody will get ample notification.

I don't post a lot here but definitely check in.  

Are you on EpicYears, TeeBubbaDee?  Not a lot of groups there, yet.  

A lot of Eons people are on Facebook too but it's been getting pretty ugly over there during this election "season"

officer, I've been a TBD member almost since the site was new. I don't know, 7, 8 years? It was my first experience with a social website, and I've seen it morph from thriving, to being on life support. Again, I HATE to say this, but I'm just about ready to pull the plug.

I think a lot of members have joined epicyears.com. I do plan to stay on this site but I really like epicyears a lot too.
