To say it makes me nauseous is an under statement. This had better not be the final word. I already emailed my senator.

Yeah, they've been reporting on it on MSNBC. They say that the Senate is tougher than Congress. I don't have to email my Senator since it's Schumer.
You should anyway, remind him of what we really want. The majority of us, I mean.

I told Durbin that we can't have a mandatory coverage if we can't have a public option. It would be like mandatory car insurance: go right through the roof. I also told him we need to be able to purchase across state lines, better selection. AND that making it mandatory should be gradual given the current economic climate.

Maybe I'm being an idiot, but why is it insurance companies can make a profit from insurance but if the government has a public option it will cost? I understand that insurance companies make some of it by having astronomical premiums and cut out people with pre-existing conditions, but that doesn't explain all of it. CIGNA's balance sheet showed second quarter profit of $435 million.
My Senators are Alexander and Corker. They are right wing nut cases so I will email them anyway and tell them that. They probably have me flagged as a terrorist.
"would eliminate competition by outcompeting private insurer"

In other words force them to be reasonable in their pricing. We just CANT have that can we? Legislated Greed! What do you expect from the "right"?
And it's time to write those Demoncraps who voted against it...and let them know they'd best be looking over their shoulders because I will do all in my power to see that they are challenged by a REAL Democrat in their primary and put them back on the bench...the left OUT end of the bench.
Smart people figured out you can't buy something if you don't have the money.
