TBD on Ning

Well, I started playing my CD's & then learned it's NOT just 1 CD that has the sound 'dropping out  for a few seconds'. It's the player itself!  So I'm trying to figure out how to 'hear' YT music through the boombox--since it has good sound. However, my boombox doesn't have an AUX plug.. I found a couple of  'players' (I don't need the Cassette player since I no longer have any of those).  But I'm not sure I can rationalize the 'want vs need, ' LOL.   For now, I'll try to 'listen' via my tiny Bluetooth here on the computer. But it, as well as the internal speakers are VERY LOW. I have to turn the volume way up!  I have  more idea to try, so wish me luck.

Can you copy the music from your CD's to your laptop? A number of years ago, I copied some music files to a cheap smart phone. (I couldn't afford an Ipod) Then bought a cord to connect the phone to my car speakers so I could listen to "my kind of music" in the car. Depending on the type of connectors you have on your boom box or other speakers, you might be able to connect the phone to it via USB or Bluetooth. Might be worth investigating.

Yes, I can copy from CD to laptop.  But I also have a huge folder of Music Videos on an external drive (where I store a lot of stuff)--so I'd probably just play those on the computer and still use the boombox for CD's ( even tho it 'drops' out now & then--it's only for a couple of seconds, so it's not a big deal).

My daughter/sister, etc all use their phones for music; I never have. (wanted better sound, lol)   The boombox is old...and has no 'extra' connections. So...this will do for now.

Sounds like a plan. :)
