Vaccine Manufacturers "Immune" From Lawsuits

Does this statement sound right to you?
“Vaccine makers and federal officials will be immune from lawsuits that result from any new swine flu vaccine, under a document signed by Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius,” reported the Associated Press last month.

How does this statement make you feel?

I find it unsettling. If I subscribed to a vaccine mindset, I'd feel like a human guinea pig, meaning I would feel as though my is health and well being isn't important to those who created a potentially inferior product, as they are unwilling to take responsibility for it's efficacy and safety. I'd also feel as though the people who agree to administer a potentially inferior and unsafe product are acting irresponsibly and blindly. After all, the Hippocratic Oath includes the promise, "First do no harm."

Thank goodness we enjoy the freedom to 'just say no'.

This vaccine sounds like it could make a lot of people very sick. They should not put a drug on the market that is not safe. I heard the pharmaceutical companies who make this stands to make about $50 Billion a year! It sounds like they are pushing it for their own profit.

really? being polite and courteous is professional behavior. and as far as attention goes, looks like you noticed me, the 'polite girl', because you are still here.

since you have spent your life as an 'advocate for health care' and have so much experience, feel free to start your own page. please share, and dazzle us with the wealth of your knowledge. but while on this page, please stay on topic and stop trying to distract from the original posting.

btw, you still haven't answered the posted question. why is it that you refuse to make a valuable contribution to this blog? why is it that you insist on causing trouble? why is it that you refer to yourself as a 'bitch'? do you really think so little of yourself? kind of derogatory and pointless, doncha think?

i'm not sure of what it is you're releasing, toby, but i'm happy you found a vent. i just wish you would create your own playground and vent your stuff there instead of here.

toby, please stay on topic and just answer the question on the original posting.

btw...according to the FDA, that's what they're using:

again, be respectful and stay on topic.

jacquin,
thanks for your research.

the thread is about how this statement makes you feel:
“Vaccine makers and federal officials will be immune from lawsuits that result from any new swine flu vaccine, under a document signed by Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius,” reported the Associated Press last month.

So, how does this statement make you feel?

did you know accelovance pays their volunteers? they're not alone....every site i visited pays their volunteers. some people will do what they can for money these days. maybe they think this is a way to make "easy" money. people do all kinds of things for money without regard to the long term.

tamiflu and relenza treat h1n1, and are already available in the market. it's what they've already been using to treat h1n1. they say they're researching a vaccine and a nose vaccine (spray version). why is government encouraging pharmaceutical companies to create more products? is it so they can justify or control lab created diseases? the recent increase in release of new products is astonishing! especially compared to any other business.

it has been reported that h1n1 is a lab created disease. if they want to control the spread of it, why did they create it in the first place? it just doesn't make sense. is the demand for new vaccines simply a 'fix it' measure for lab experiments 'gone bad'?
