TBD on Ning

I'm dead serious. I am building a web site dedicated (more or less) to serious world issues of which I know very little about. I do understand the basics and I see a pattern and problems across politics, big business, judicial systems, police states, military, etc etc, on a global scale.

I can give you broad stroke plans and ideas to make this planet a much better place to live. I need you, THE PEOPLE, that know the ins and outs and all the details that can work my basics into a viable plan.

There have been a number of problems in trying to improve life on this planet, not the least of which is trying to work with things on a tree by tree basis. I am looking at the forest and I can show you how to change 10,000 trees around the planet in one move to make a global difference.

There are a couple of things you need to understand. First is that you have been brainwashed since birth and need to want to see things in a different light and interested enough to do something, it could be as simple as making a phone call to improve the planet.

You need to keep an open mind, you need to understand all I can do is point you in the right direction, you need to do it.

My web site which I hope to launch, hap haphazardly, by the end of the month will start with the homeless, a viable solution. Over the months to come, it will cover the war, big business, judicial system, police state, and if you stay with it, you will go from looking at a tree to seeing a cluster of trees to seeing a forest. You will eventually learn that "all" the problems everywhere are tied to the same basic causes.

I am going to be attacking systems and principals that you have worked in for years and I would like to believe that many of you will understand the truth in what I have to say and can even confirm and expand on details I know little or nothing of. I am counting on the fact that there are many of you involved in a system that you know needs to be changed just don't know how.

I am counting on the fact that most people are good people and would like to see a much better life for all living creatures on this planet.

I am not certain of the point of this blog, frankly I'm not even sure how it works. I'm hoping to get opinions and support. I would like to know what others think about "the big" problems of today. I would like to know if there really are many dissatisfied with things as they are. I would like to keep you updated as I add material to my site.

I guess more than anything else, for me, this is the moment, the first step. I have been talking about this site for a long time now. When I hit the publish button I am looking at it will be the first step for me to actually do something to try to improve things for our grand children. This will be my first step, my little contribution to getting the gigantic plan moving.

I ask that you take a first step. if you can comment in the blog do it, I don't know how this works, if not PM me or find some way to make it known you want change.

Understand, I do not have all the answers, I am not looking to be in charge of anything. I just want people to start living with love, kindness and caring that I believe is the basic nature of most. Too many are forced into doubt and conflict because the the various systems in place today.

I really do think its possible for US to make this planet a much better place to live. I am about to take my first step and hit the publish button NOW.

I'm working on giving my life a purpose and you want me to think about a blog. I appreciate you jumping in here and your personal project, the homeless. I'm trying to get 147 OTHER people to post some, this is NOT about us.

At least I hope not. I'm trying to get "people" involved. Do you know a dog, cat or racoon that can type. They live on the planet too. LOL

The "group" is something different and seems to be working. This blog had no purpose beyond "my" first post. "I" screwed up and very nice people showed they cared. NOW I am trying to find a purpose for the blog and if it doesn't have a purpose by the 167th posting I will give up. LOL

I hope 100.000 post. If there are a lot of posts, then there IS a reason for it. Right now, to me, the reason to post is because then you have gotten off the couch and taken the "first step." It makes no difference what you post, you are no longer sitting around with indifference, you are "DOING SOMETHING." and the second step will be easier, then the third and forth and before you know it, "your involved, DOING SOMETHING to help the planet.

Ya gotta take the first step, post SOMETHING, give the blog a purpose, get 5 bucks for you cause. LOL

Ok Marva, I guess I'm gonna have to get the BIG GUNS out. I been watching this blog just sit here for days at 15 posts, this will make 16.

You and a few other people have contributed and I appreciate that. I have no intentions of giving you or anyone else a "cause." Sounds like you have at least one already, the homeless. I am going to show you the problems of the world in a way I'm pretty sure you have never looked at them and then give you "A" plan to make this a better planet. As stated before, I will show you the forest, you take care of the trees.

I still don't want to scrap this blog, its here I would like to find a use for it. I've suggested bringing up problems you see, solutions you need help with, things you know others are doing and there has to be 100 other possible uses for this blog.

You won't do it for altruistic reasons, how about good old fashioned GREED. You Marva, contact everyone you know and everyone that reads this contact everyone you know to start posting SOMETHING here and Marva IF you end up doing the 167th post I will give 5 bucks to your homeless shelter. Anyone else I will donate 5 bucks to the cause they prefer.

There is is people, good old fashioned GREED. Post 167 get 5 bucks out of my wallet if I can get the moths out of the way. Now start getting hold of people, spread the word and post.

Right now I guess I am the one and only member, Maricel, would you like to be #2. Is there a 3, 4 or more.

Would someone like to start a discussion there that may help Mother Earth? A problem that you think needs to be addressed, a solution you would like help with. Something someone else is doing of interest. I think it was on Yahoo this morning I read about a 12 year old girl that raised 50 grand and built a school in Nam. ANYTHING, ANYONE

Maricel, I really appreciate what you did with the Avatar and I really appreciate all the support you and others have given. I would love to jump in and say yes, lets do it. I have some issues that are going to take more of my time than I would like right now, but they NEED to taken care of.

I know what I am doing with my web site and I am getting excited because I am gaining ground. I may or may not have made a mistake with this blog, only time will tell. Well no, it was not a mistake, just I'll planned. I have gotten things of value out of it.

I am going to start the group you suggested. I asked for help and opinion and you have given me both. I just want to make it clear that it may be a few weeks before I can devote a lot of time to it. Again, my web site is a specific blue print and plan. It will need corrections and changes but it is something specific. Change D World Group could be a very nice compliment, it could be a very good tool on its own. Lets see what happens.

I really like your Avatar, may I use it on my web site and possibly other places?

Thank you.

Jerr, why don't you create a tbd 'group' Change D World.... I'll definitely join and it could bring together people with a similar mission.

Hey, I even created an avatar for you:

I appreciate everyone's comments more than you realize. anthonyfromboston, I screwed up and I'm trying to fix it and all I seem to be doing is digging myself in deeper.

I am not afraid to be wrong, I am not afraid to fight congress, I NEED your help, I am NOT going to be in charge of ANYTHING. The thing you said I liked the most, this blog is less than a day old and I am getting response, I guess that's what is really important.

Truth is, I started this blog on a whim, Its only purpose with my first post was to get ME off my dead ass and to go public and commit to "my web site." To force me to MAKE the time I don't have to work on what is with out a doubt the most important thing, to me, I have ever undertaken.

By now you should realize I love analogies. I'm in a position where, in my opinion, you have ridden horses your whole life. I have this thing called a car and I "am going to" draw blueprints and it will do wonderful things. I can can tell you here what a starter is, it will be meaningless, I can tell you about fuel injection, transmission, alternator, etc etc. You will not be able to see a "car."

I believe on my web site I can show different pieces and uses for those pieces by themselves and not be particularly concerned about the "car" until you have seen enough pieces to be able to envision it. I believe I said that I will start the site with a viable solution to the homeless problem.

Maricel Evasco made comments about a wonderful project her mom started. Now I am admitting I started this blog for the wrong reason. For what I want to accomplish this blog, as is, will only allow me to dig myself in deeper. Now I am looking for something functional for the blog, along the improve the world line. I like what Maricel Evasco did and maybe that's the direction it should turn. Maybe you need to start pointing out problems that you feel need to be addressed.

I agree this is too young to scrap, I said I need help, tell me what you think, tell me what you want, tell me what you don't want, lets leave my web site out of here for now. I started wrong, I don't want to dig myself any deeper, help me accomplish positive something here.

As stated in the beginning, I don't know much about blogs. I would really like to see it become something of a way to bounce ideas and solutions to many issues, that many could give and get something out of. Any suggestions?

I have gotten out of this blog what I needed, there probably was a better way, but it worked for me.

Thank you all, sincerely.

I don't see this blog as being very productive as it is, can anyone suggest a different direction to take it still keeping the theme in mind. If not maybe I should just blow it away. As stated in the beginning, I don't know much about blogs. I would really like to see it become something of a way to bounce ideas and solutions to many issues, that many could give and get something out of. Any suggestions?

I would really like a last opinion, can it be saved or scrap it?

I think it is very commendable that you are undertaking such an endeavor. My suggestion is that you narrow your focus to two or three causes dear to your heart. I remember that being the underlying sentiment during the commencement speech the president of my college gave during graduation. Find and follow 2 or 3 causes you feel passionate about and commit yourself to making a difference for those causes.

My mom started a grassroot woman's organization several years ago designed to serve the underprivileged women of her region. She fund raises and provides battered or poverty stricken women with the means to be successful. He organization has over 4000 members now, a big feat since communication is limited in the province. I just sent my daughter there earlier this week to do an internship for my mom's organization in the Philippines. Some time next week she'll be helping others distribute pigs to local women to enable them to develop a self sustaining income. I hope my daughter learns the value of service and not to take forgranted the resources we have here in the USA.

I feel strongly too about women's rights, but "my causes" are education and ending racism. As a teacher, I am able work to enlighten students to the value of learning and the sometimes horrific consequences of racism-- the genocides, etc.

Jerr....I wish you the best of guidance and luck in your efforts to change the world. ~Mari =-)
