10,000 steps is where I began and little thoughts eased their way into my mind.

Like a hamster running on his exercise wheel.
Round and round she goes---Where she stops, know one knows
5,000 steps—Half way there and the tally for the journey reads something like this:
5,000; 59.65; 2.935; 335; 30.00; 0
Living between Heaven and Hell, the middle income man can taste the little bits of heaven that fall his way, but knows that the only difference between him and the lowest income is his ability to search out his sources of food faster.
Longing for the things that seem to exist before you, and running from the things you know are behind you.
Count down---0, 9, 8, 7, 6….1 and begin again 0, 9….
Down to the double digits, some distance from where I first began.
The question is on my mind. Will it be death, or retirement the endless cycle of running on a tread mill that will reach me first?

At the last ten steps it begins to chime for each step that I take with the final tally, like the final heart beats, before it announces it has finally come to an end.
