What is wrong with people in this country? How can people stand up in public and say some of the ridiculous things that they are saying about Obama and his health care plan? I saw a woman on TV today hold up a picture of Obama fixed up to look like Hitler and she said, with a perfectly straight face, that his health plan included a provision where the government would have "death panels" that would decide who lived and who died! That they would decide that certain people were too old or too sick and would deny them health care! Are people that stupid and naive that they actually think that would or even could happen in this country? It's ludicrous, and the Republicans are feeding this fear in people for political purposes. It makes me so mad I could scream, but what good would that do?

People need to understand that while they may be happy with their current health care, there are millions of people in this country that do not have any health care at all! If we are the country that we like to think we are, then we must take care of these people -- men, woman and children -- who can't even go to the dentist to have a rotten tooth pulled because they can't afford it because they don't have health insurance! They have to just live with the pain. It's not right, it's not fair, and Obama is finally trying to address this issue. This whole initiative is about providing MORE care to MORE people, not less. People, poor people, are being allowed to die now because of a lack of health care.

OK, that's my rant for the day. I needed to get that off my chest. I feel a little better now. But only a little. I won't be completely OK until politicians stop lying for political gain and everyone has access to health care!
