2009 Official US Celebration of Gratitude

This was my post today to the TBD on Ning Wall of Gratitude. Younger daughter suggested that I should post it here, too so here you go! Happy Thanksgiving!

"Good morning all my friends in gratitude!

Today is the official government-recognized annual celebration of gratitude.
Of course, we all know that gratitude is something that we all can indulge in on a daily basis without having to cut back due to ill-effects. Unlike stuffing and pie and gravy. The more we are grateful, the healthier and happier we are. And unlike other forms of consumption and indulgence, our frequent expressions of gratitude also benefit our families and friends and other people we interact with.

And the benefits spread. Unlike the brief burst of flavor in the mouth that a chocolate truffle brings. Not that chocolate isn't special. But you know what I mean, or you wouldn't be here, too.

I am so grateful for you all who take the time to visit here frequently to "share the wealth", as we say in FarmVille. Sharing our attitudes of gratitude is the gift that keeps on giving.

And we don't have to wait for the fourth Thursday in November to do that. Or stand in line at the mall to talk to Santa to get more of what we want and need.

Need I say more? I don't think so. Just that I am so grateful for you all."
