Divorce: The Long Term Effects

I was divorced at the end of 2007 after 24 years of marriage. From my perspective, it was a happy marriage, producing three children and a fulfilling family life. My wife became unhappy the last couple of years and wanted out. She did not want counseling, she just wanted out. Her reason was she felt we "didn't have anything in common." Also, she had found someone else she wanted to be with. So she left.

Can we do the math here?

Couple is in financial "turmoil" according to hubby. Can't afford a car or car repairs says same hubby. "I need to get a place that's closer to work so I can bike there...blah....blah....blah..." Um....hello...2 residences.....2 sets of utility bills, etc, etc etc, so on and so forth. So you drop the car, which doesn't have a note/lien on it, and incur new living expenses. Um....okay....I'm not a rocket scientist here, but you do the math.

Musings From a Recent Addition

So, I'm taking a day of R and R today, and I thought I'd try out this 'blog' stuff that all the hip kids go on about.
