If you are living with lupus, you are no longer "living." You are waiting. Waiting to recover from one flare or for your next one to begin.

I loved your email! Is the MU for Mizzou? I would have written early, but was down with a lupus flare.... Don't forget to let me know next time you're heading this way - Steak 'n' Shake, it is! By the way, I'm going to the Cards game tomorrow night. I'll cheer extra for you.

Your brother lives way far out in Manchester? Honey, I have news for you - I live way farther out in Wildwood! It used to be called Grover. It's at Manchester & Old 100. I probably live within 10 minutes of your brother - we should all meet at Steak 'n' Shake!
Could you be any cuter? I'm all croaked up?! Well, I haven't been to any Cards games this year - I've just been a TV fan. How often do you get up to St. Louis, and where are your favorite places to eat and such?
No, you didn't make the guitar thing up. I'm still playing and playing with it.
The weather's been kind of wet and cool here. It hasn't very often gotten to 75°F much less 80°F. And it has been raining here almost as much as it's been raining in Florida. We had some rather freak hail that made the national news a couple weeks ago. It wasn't in my neighborhood but it wasn't that far away. They were literally digging their way out of it!
