About Me:: If you know the line about taking the boy out of Jersey, but being unable to take the Jersey out of the boy, then you've got some immediate insight on me. Despite my having moved light years beyond the "borough" back in Bergen County, beginning with successive tours of duty, exclusively at garden spots overseas, with the Marine Corps, those early NJ cultural influences remain intact, alive and well.

Lifelong learning - the only thing less important a priority to me than family, friends and loved ones - is the other thing I'm all about. I subscribe to Aristotle's view that, the more one learns, discovers and thinks one knows about the world and universe around them, that's the one who'll always come back to earth with a thud to find that they, too, know absolutely nothing.

I'm drawn to open-minded thinkers and writers, but promptly tick 'em off with my irreverent, edgy sense of humor.

I believe in the holy trinity: death, taxes and the veracity of Murphy's Law!
