This is my son the day before he was deployed to Iraq. We spent a week together before he had to leave. I feel so lucky to have had this time with him. We have always been very close and my heart will ache for him every day till he returns safely.

I hope, more than anything in this world, that he never has to kill anyone. He is the gentlest soul in the world and I know he could never overcome it. He is the light of my life. Thanks for your prayers for him, I'm not a believer as you well know, but when it comes to him, I'll appreciate any help that might come.
