Thank you too Phil, and I cannot answer your question with any certainty,
as the koalas that need to be rescued because of injury at the animal shelters
seem to always be friendly with the carers, but, never try to go pick a
wild koala bear up as their claws will cause a lot of skin tears and damage.
Around here where I live, the koalas move about freely from on group of trees
to another and they live out in all kinds of weather, from time to time,
they can be seen strutting or running down on the ground to get to
another tree a distance away, when this happens, we just leave
them be, however, it is always so good to see the little creatures, lol!
This is one that got caught in the raging fires down in Victoria a few years back,
and we were very relieved when it was found that it had responded to treatment
and recovered.
