Thanks Alendar; I can’t say that I know much about art because I never studied it and I would be rather surprised if people don’t find many errors in my work but that doesn’t bother me the least because I don’t have any illusions about being a serious artist and I can only learn from criticism, and while I could have taken art more seriously I always felt that my lack of knowledge of it gives me a freedom and boldness that makes painting so much fun.

Beautiful. The light is well captured. The shading on the waves is well done. What causes the burst of light on the left shore is unknown, but it works anyhow. The way the sun light pushes up in a buttery spread way is neat. The lighthouse captures the sun color perfectly and bends away from the viewer in a way that creates a feeling of falling. The ocean waves are technically incorrect for such a small inlet. The waves could not be that high. I see the difficulty in perspective from the waves near to a transitional wave to the greater ocean.

Hope you don't mind my thoughts. I never know what people want to hear when they post pictures.
