They sure do make a loud noise, and then the bright flashes of light. It was just so upsetting to get woke up hearing the loud booms. My heart was sure racin fast.
We have a fire goin.......candles are lit! I just went outside to see if we have the freezing rain. Not here, but it sure is cold and dampness cuts right through you.
Have fun looking for your car parts.
Ya, when one of those transformers go, they make a lot of noise.......
Flash lights are ready, brought more wood inside this afternoon, and have gas for the generator should we need it! The fire is a blaze, and i'm surfing the internet looking for car parts!
Now we are back to rain and horizontal surfaces are getting slick!
No snow or freezing rain yet. GrandPa, you sure have a mixed bag of precip. I hope your power stays on! It always takes me back to two years ago....when I got woke up to the sound of the transformer exploding and then looking out the window to see a fire in our backyard, what a night that was! Yep, I think it might be a long evening. Good Luck.....better get the flashlights, candles ready!
Seashelly
Well it's started............ Snowing one minute, rain the next, then the wind changes, then it stopps.......... Now it's back to sleet!!!!
Looks like it's going to be a long evening!
Freezing rain advisory for N.OHIO.........I just checked the Weather Channel Doppler and it looks like the pink shaded area is almost here. Looks like we will have about 1" of ice. As of right now it is dry. Well get ready to go on that roller coaster ride this next week, will be having Spring on Tuesday with rain and 59.0 degrees, later in the week back to Winter with 20's for highs. Crazy Weather!
HI GrandPa, thanks for the heads-up! I think Monday's rush hour will be A OK! This evening will be slick on the roadways....I feel bad for anyone that has to driving tonight. I am glad that all the salt melted the snow.....we have our driveway cleared. Be Safe!!
Wow Iceman!
Sounds like a wonderful spring day! - LOL!!!!
As for us,A Freezing Rain Advisory is now in effect for N L replacing the Winter Storm Watch. Freezing rain will begin between 11am and 1pm w/ two to six hrs of accumulating ice. Ice accumulations between 0.1" and 0.35" is possible.
OK, looks like time for another log on the fire.................
Seashelly, look out, It's almost hear and coming you way for tomorrows rush hour????
AL
Good Morning Chief!
I have no idea! And I know no one else can either! - LOL!!!
It's almost as though we are on a run away train, and no one is at the controls!
As for today, Sunday, we have no idea of what is really going to happen other than some cold weather is coming, warm weather from another direction, the ground is snow covered. Now it's all going to depend on what moves first, in what direction, will we have any sun today. With that said, we will have a brief period of ice falling, will it stick is anyone's guess. It's going to warm late this afternoon into the evening, so any ice that may form, will melt tonight!
So the week goes, Sunday ICE (for a brief period of time), Monday Rain Showers (if you can believe that) and in the 40's, Tuesday will be 58 degrees (here come spring??), Wednesday / Thursday - Don't think so, (snow) and back to the 20's.
Hold on Seashelly, it's coming your way!!!!! - AL
Sunny and 63 in GA
Good Morning! cloudy and 24 degrees in NW OHIO.
Have A Super Saturday!
Hey Chief, we wondered where you were!!!
Ya, the next few storms look iffy, as they are staying north for both of us! However, next T / W we will be 40's and 50's. Then back to normal i.e. 20's for the rest of the week!
However, we did send out our local township "Snow Patrol" and they were able to locate "Suzzy Snowflake" and a few of her friends.... However, Suzzy did'nt bring along enough of her friends, so the Snow Patrol went back to their cabins to sleep some more!!! - LOL
Have a good weekend Chief!!
