WoW!
Sounds like you folks had some really rough weather last night. It looks like you folks were very luck as the tree went down in the street, not on anyone's house.
Now that the tree is down, It's called firewood! Hope you have a fireplace you can use it! - LOL!!!
Bow that the storm has moved thru, I hope you get a chance to have a good visit with your friends!
I hope your weekend weather is better for you! - AL
What a night! Friends from Indiana were on their way for a visit, called about 2 pm or so to say they were stopped on I-75. Then warning sirens started going off so, as soon as they could they got off the interstate, found a motel, and decided to spend the night in Adairsville, GA.
Around 6 pm we lost power & it was raining so hard we couldn't see 25 feet, wind gusting to around 50 mph. Power didn't come on and didn't come on so about 9:30 we went to bed. At 1 am the dog started howling - something she rarely does & we got up to see the power truck cutting up a tree blocking the road at the end of our lot. I went back to bed & at 1:45 the house lit up, tv came on, etc., waking us again. Couldn't sleep then so washed supper dishes, got on the computer until 5 when I went back to bed for a couple of hours.
Neighbors have a chain saw and will cut the tree into smaller pieces so we can completely clear the road. I've already picked up small stuff. Today it's 39, breezy, sunny. Could have been worse.
Morning Weather Friends................
Sailspinner, how are you folks doing after the bad weather last night??? Hope all is OK for you!
Haven't heard from Chief, he may be down for a long Winter's nap!
As for the rest of us in the mid-west, it's cold and we had a few fluries. So it's time to settle down with the grand kids today and enjoy another cup of coffee!
So what is thew weather doing in your neck of the woods??
Good Morning to all!
It is 54 degrees at 11:30 am...not bad out. Tomorrow will be a whole different story. Our temps will be way colder with only the 20's....can you say shock to your system,LOL. Glad we got the rain not the snow and the rain should stop before the cold sets in. Now we have the wind to contend with.
Have a nice day!
Morning Sailspinner, - Gee, glad to see you have gotten rid of all that cold weather that the SE has been going thru. Be thankfull that your getting rain as so many areas in the US are still fighting drought from last yr. Should be interesting to see if everyone catches up on their rainfall by spring..............
Received several catalogs from Strawberry growers down in GA. So spring must be doing OK!
Cheers!
WoW Chief, That doesn't sound like fun at all!
I was planing on going out to Tractor Supply in Dixon today, but looking at the weather and radar I don't think that would be to wise with all the "Weather" coming our way! So I think I'll stay at home, put another log on the fire and snooze for a while!!!
Now let's see, how many days till spring?? -
Hope everyone else is staying warm these days......... - AL
Still 70 here at 9 a.m. Rain coming in - maybe as much as an inch. High wind warning until noon. Tomorrow's high will be in the 50s.
Good Morning Weather Buds....
WoW, what a difference a day makes! We had the 60's yesterday, followed by lots of rain. Like 1.5" and will continue to rain thru the day with the temps changing to SNOW this afternon! Only time will tell how much!
The older grand kid is waiting for snow, so we can go play outside. So, maybe tomorrow!!!!!
So, how is the weather going in your aera???
Cheers, and stay warm and dry! - AL
78 degrees here but lots of rain coming tomorrow, followed by a "cold" front. At least it won't be cold enough to freeze.
This graphic says it all MsAex! I got a kick out of this, my hair sure does get frizzy with the humidity.
FRIZZ FACTOR FOR TODAY A 10! WILL NEED LOTS OF HAIRSPRAY!!
