Haven't heard an official account of how much rain we got but it rained off and on for a week and we got a jon boat full.  How's that for a "swag"?

My friend from Toledo wrote me and said we have heavy snow coming next week, I checked the forecast and it does not look like it?  Will see?  Good that you are getting rain, but it sounds like WAY TOO MUCH...It sounds like you have had some relief from the drought.  We are going to get colder weather back, but I think I will be able to handle it. LOL  Sorry that you are losing your warm temps down in GA, Sailspinner, you have my sympathy!!  How much rain total's did you guys get?

Morning Weather Buds.................

Sorry I wasn't around yesterday as I had DSL problems that didn't disappear till late into the day. Also the grand kids were over, and kid napped grandpa for most of the day. what a hoot!!!

Seashelly, Sailspinner, thanks for keeping thing going yesterday in my absence! Sailspinner, enjoy your trip. Will be looking forward to hearing anout your experience while you were gone!

As for our local weather it's been running 6 - 10 degrees above normal. The remainder of the week will be in the low to mid 30's with an occasional 40 degree day thrown in and an occasional sunny day!

What is missing from the forecast is either SNOW or RAIN. So winter is back to being bleak and baron outside. With everything being brown and gray! Yuck! Can't wait till spring!!!

Cheers! - AL

We're drying out after almost a week of rain.  Our jon boat was full (literally) yesterday so we've had a good amount of wet.  Maybe our drought has been aleviated some.  No sun yet but at least we're dry & looking at some really cold (for us) days on the weekend - high of 49 on Sat.  Brrrrr.  I know I'll get no sympathy from you guys but it's all relative. lol

Hello and Happy Valentines Day!

Well here we are back to our gloomy cloudy days.  It is 34 degrees @ 9 am.

Hope all has a wonderful day.....Suppose to take a walk here in about an hour with my friend, hoping it will be a nice walk.

Today should be the last of our rain for a while.  I'm going to Austin to "babysit" for a couple of weeks so will be out of touch for a while.  Back in early March.  "Talk" with you all then.

Good Morning!  It is around 28 degrees, I hear we have some sun arriving for us this Afternoon! Yay!!  Sounds like I better find my sunglasses.  After a couple of cloudy days, it will be so nice to see the sun again!  I hope everyone has a fantastic day!

Good Morning Gang!

Although Hattiburg had a F4 tornado, no one was killed, although around 80 people were injured! Bummer!!!

Glad to have made it through yesterday as we had winds all day, with gusts over 50 MPH and no one in our area lost any trees!

The next storm coming thru is once again heading north of us. So we will be experiencing a week in the mid 30's with an occasionally 40 thrown in! Looks as if we are around 12 " short in snow so far!

Cheers!

Good Morning, I hope everyone is doing well and staying warm.  Nice not to have all the gusty wind.  Yesterday was sure a windy one in Northern Ohio.  It is around 31 degrees @ 7 am.  I hear there is a possible chance of snow for us next week.  I guess it is still to far out to give any kind of predictions on how much snow we may get.

Just so awful about Hattiesburg, makes me sad seeing pictures of all the damage and destruction.  Than to make matters worse they are getting rain.  Making clean up even harder.  Thankfully there was no loss of lives.  Prayers for the folks in Mississippi in their clean up and rebuilding.
