A new day is coming. EVERSDAY .Really !!! Congress has unanimously voted to add a day to our calendar starting the day after Fat Tuesday of next year, on a trial basis with the last new day after the 30th of April, 2013. Simply put, for all those weeks ,every Tuesday will be followed by Eversday before Wednesday. This limited calendar change is intended not to screw up leap year or International Date line confusion. It's only here in the USA.
Eversday is a special day. It will be a day like none other during the week. It is a day for our citizens to basically...do nothing. It is a day of nothing like a day that doesn't exist. There will be no radio, TV, phone service,no transmissions of any kind with no exceptions. There will be no public transportation. Drive at your own risk. No traffic lights working. No cops to give tickets. No tow trucks if you are in a crash.Stay home. Banks, post offices, and schools will be closed. All retail establishments will be closed. No restaurants open. No courts open. No marriages. No divorces,(sorry guys) .There will be no recorded transactions .Period. In the unlikely event you are born or die on an Eversday,it will be recorded on the following day, Wednesday.
Hospitals will not allow emergencies. Most are not life threatening anywhere. If you absolutely need to see a doctor, man up. You'll wait. It's Eversday. Nothing happens. Nothing is done. Nothing is accomplished. It is a day of nothing.....absolutely nothing..zilch.nada, not a thing.
Airports of course will be closed. Pilots who plan on being in the air on Eversdays have been advised to keep a couple of gallons of gasoline on board just in case the fuel approaches empty. To be safe..don't book any flights on Tuesday.
So in summary..or you might call it dummary...Put off tomorrow what you didn't do yesterday because now you have Eversday. It's a day you can sleep the day away. No one will know, No one will care. Annie got it wrong. Tomorrow Tomorrow..It's not only a day away. The sun will come out..but not tomorrow when it's Tuesday. Enjoy your Eversday.
