I think you should adopt him, Faye. He's lived his whole 4 year life w/out a home. Can you imagine?

I love the names Eli & Lily for your dogs, kayaker.
btw... I happen to know the story behind Lewis' naming. He was part of a large puppy mill confiscation by authorities. The Animal Project where I volunteer accepted about 30 of the dogs. At the same time. And had to process & name them all. So this little guy & another Min-Pin got named Lewis & Clark. I think it's kinda cute. Clark got adopted. Apparently he didn't introduce himself to ppl by biting them. -

oh, no, not playfully. He's scared of people, b/c he was a crated puppy mill dog who was never integrated w/people. They say it's just at first, and then he warms up. You comin' over for him? I'll need to get you a special dispensation, 'cause they don't adopt out of state. But I can pull some strings. '-)
