I just joined TBD after I found out about it from an old Eons friend who I found on Not Over The Hill.
This looks like a wonderful site and I'm glad to be here.
For howmany years I am here? I can`t remember, I am 66 retired teacher live in Istanbul-TURKEY.
Love travel , see new places meet friends all around the Globe.
Hope to meet all our MBD people, chat and share indias and thoughts.
Love & warm hugs
I have been a member since Mar 2009, but I have not been active for several years. I introduced my friend and neighbor, Donna Geisler, to TBD. She passed away over a year ago and I was wondering how you handle that situation.
Hi. Just re-introducing myself again. Mark from NY..getting used to my new age (67) as of 9-29-17. I post a lot of humor on this site as well as other baby boomer sites. I write about my personal experiences and observations turning the real into the surreal and I write some very very short out of the box nonsensical stories too as I feel the need to display my creative and imaginative thoughts for my fans to read. Though I work in retail as a very disgruntled merchandiser in local supermarkets here in NY, my passion is writing............and eating.!!!!
a belated happy birthday - you didn't show up on the birthdays list on page 1.
Hi everyone. I may have introduced myself way back in this list, but for people who are coming "home", I'll just say I was in the old TBD and did most of my serious thinking in the Spirituality and Consciousness Group and playing in a silly group that I can't remember the name of any more. We even started a group for people who thought they had been excluded by what they considered to be "cliques". Ha! After we moved here to a Ning platform, Chez Moi started a group called All Drift All the Time where we continued to be silly and disorganized until everyone but Gary Freeman and I sailed away and never came back. Gary and I continued to paddle our life raft and talk about the weather until December 2012 when we gave up. Through it all, I continued to check in regularly at the Wall of Gratitude where BellaG and I keep up our side and our spirits with regular exercise of gratitude. It's the only exercise I get some days!
I confess that I, too, spend entirely too much time on Facebook, but I'm trying to cut down. To those of you who are looking to come home to TBD and escape from the clutches of fb, welcome. We are what we make of ourselves. If you don't find just what you want, throw a party--start a group here and invite people. Start with what you like and see what happens. What have you got to lose? Eddie Dingo is picking up the tab these days, so show her that you love her and invite her, too.
Looks like a good time was had by all.
I have been a member here for a few years, but a while back I made myself scarce because of my having an issue with a couple of the members. I really would like to come back and be active again. I think you can learn all about me by checking my profile. Someone told me there was a game group, but I am having trouble locating it. I am playing the six-letter word game, but I was wondering if there were any others. I see the activity has slowed down, but I am stubborn; I will stick with it as long as anyone else does. Hoping to meet a couple of new people.
