Creative Commons and Public Domain Image Sites

I ran across an article that listed a number of sites that offer free images that are either under a creative commons license or are in the public domain. (I put them in alphabetical order.)

1. 1 Million Free Pictures - http://www.1millionfreepictures.com/ - Free amateur public domain images.
2. Creative Commons Search - https://search.creativecommons.org/ - "offers convenient access to search services provided by other independent organizations...Do not assume that the results ...are under a CC license."
3. Flickr: Creative Commons - https://www.flickr.com/creativecommons - Access to all Flickr photos sorted by license.
4. Foodie's Feed - https://www.foodiesfeed.com/ - High-res food images. Free to use without attribution; however, the may not be resold.
5. Good Free Photos - https://www.goodfreephotos.com/ - Public domain images taken by the owner of the site.
6. Gratisography - https://gratisography.com/ - Free images taken by photographer Ryan McGuire. All photos provided under CC0.
7. Life of Pix - https://www.lifeofpix.com/ - High-quality, public domain images with no copyright restrictions.
8. Magdeleine - https://magdeleine.co/ - One free high-res photo every day (and access to a full repository of images).
9. Morgue File - https://morguefile.com/ - A huge repository of free photos. You're free to use but you cannot claim ownership of them.
10. New Old Stock - https://nos.twnsnd.co/ - Vintage photos from the public archives
11. pdpics - http://pdpics.com/ - Public domain images taken by their in-house team of photographers.
12. Pexels - https://www.pexels.com/ - Searchable database of CC0 images.
13. Photogen - http://www.photogen.com/ - Free for personal or commercial use, but not suitable for resale or redistribution.
14. Pickup Image - http://pickupimage.com/ - Searchable database of public domain images.
15. Pixabay - https://pixabay.com/ - A huge database of public domain images
16. Skitterphoto - https://skitterphoto.com/ - License-free photos, free to use under CC0.
17. SplitShire - https://www.splitshire.com/ - Free photos with no copyright restrictions.
18. Unsplash - https://unsplash.com/ - 10 new high-quality photos released every 10 days. Released under the CC0 license.
