What does it mean to you to be a spiritual seeker? What exactly are you seeking? Meaning? Purpose? Answers? A path?

Also, how do you do your seeking?

Just curious...

A great thought provoking question.

For me, to be a spiritual seeker is to be on a quest for the truth, Divine truth. It also means to live your life according to this truth. I search for this truth through books, mentors and spiritual teachers, meditation (going within), etc,

A search for Spiritual truth is a search for Universal truth. An understand of spiritual laws, connecting with the Divine source and each other at a higher level . I believe that if you living your life according to this truth you live a much more loving life, happy and free from the stigma of religious dogmas.
There is a stirring inside, a hunger to know and learn more about how to get closer to that divine spark one has inside, how to get more of it. Books, like minded people, meditations, are all tools to help you get there.
What I seek is contentment in knowing that there is a connection with something outside of what my senses perceive. Its the high I get when I feel that connection, the peace I feel, I suppose it is a path that leads to the meaning of why I am here, what is my purpose and that makes me feel closer to what some call god/goddess.
Its all that and much more that labels me a "Spiritual seeker".
Well Donald, there's always been a very old saying that is still hovering around these days even....
and it is `Seek and ye shall find' which turns out to be a pretty profound declaration,
if one just stops and thinks for a while.
Oh, BTW, Donald have you heard of another Donald, although that is his middle name,
his full name is Neale Donald Walsch, he has written a series of books which makes
for extremely interesting reading on the very same subject that your questions are based on here. Thanks.
I have this impression that for followers of religions, the starting point is that they already find the truth, so that the next thing to do is to live according to this truth, for how do you live according to the truth if you haven't find it yet?

The word "seeker" imply that you are still searching for the truth. If you've already found it, then you are no longer a seeker. You are simply a follower and a believer.

I am a seeker, for sure. Since I am still searching.

Nice question, for me I am seeking all that you mention, I want to become a better person. kinder, more compassionate person. The jurney begins at church and in prayer. and takes the rest of my life.
I think in a similar way EmmettS, and I cannot imagine that we will ever know it all.
Because I am a follower of Christ, biblical truth is what I seek. I have had many questions in my Christian walk, some have been answered, some have not. I seek my purpose. I seek to grow spiritually and to someday love unconditionally. I know that this will take my entire life here on earth. I read the Bible, listen to inspirational music, attend church, read books, talk with those I trust, and pray, and pray, and pray. Then I listen.
